WHAT KIND OF CARROM BOARD SURFACE IS BEST.
The surface of the best quality carrom board is a simple wooden ply. There are two kinds of carrom board ply: Indian and English ply.
Is carrom board waterproof?
WE MANUFACTURE CARROM BOARDS WITH WATERPROOF COATED SURFACE PLYWOOD, WHICH IS SMOOTH AND DURABLE.
How to choose a carrom board?
1. The board surface should be dead flat – Budget boards with thin plywood are less likely to offer a perfectly flat playing surface, and are more susceptible to warping over time.
2. The playing surface should be smooth to feel, with no bumps or irregularities.
What are carrom coins called?
In carrom, 18 coins (9 of black and 9 of white) are used with one red coin (also termed as queen) and a striker. This means that a good striker and high-quality coins are needed along with a robust carrom board if you want to enjoy this game properly.
Can we play carrom with a middle finger?
The carrom striker must be flicked, usually using the index finger, middle finger or thumb. Moving the hand is not allowed so the carrom striker must not be pushed.
Can we use any powder on carrom board?
We sprinkle fine powder (Boric acid powder) while playing carrom board to make sure that the surface is really smooth. The powder reduces the friction between the surface of the carrom board, the striker, and the coins. Since the powder reduces friction, the coins and striker can move easily on the carrom board.
